Ribbon Cutting - Walmart Training Academy

Walmart is opening its first training academy in Hastings on May 23, at 1752 North Frontage, at 9 a.m. The ceremony will also include a graduation recognizing the first class of academy associates. Walmart training academies are dedicated facilities where associates receive instruction on retail fundamentals and area specific skills. Since the program launched, the curriculum has expanded training to cover more than 65 positions, including customer service manager, online grocery pickup, and assistant store manager. Associates are trained through a combination of classroom and sales floor exercises, utilizing technology including tablet computers and cloud storage for training materials.

Ribbon Cutting will take place at 9:45 a.m. and tours of the Training Academy will be available after.  Please meet in the Lawn & Garden Center.
